It is the mission of Chief Executive Officer Tom Mitchell to assist the Board of Supervisors, the departments of the County, and other collaborating agencies and individuals in providing services that enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Mendocino County. In this endeavor, it is the specific mission of the Executive Office to seek to understand the unique roles and perspectives of all of the parties that will participate in development, debate, adoption, implementation, and maintenance of public policies and programs, and to serve as a competent, professional, and courteous liaison.

Chief Executive Officer Tom Mitchell is also responsible for the development and orchestration of all human, fiscal, technological, and other resources necessary to accomplish the organizational mission.
