Katrina Griffiths Planning Young Adult Programs
Ukiah Library's new Librarian, Katrina Griffiths, was featured in a front page Ukiah Daily Journal article and is already bringing back programs or introducing new ones for tweens to young adults such as Game Time and Research Skills 101.
Game Time for young adults 12+ will start again on Thursdays at 3:30. a fun way unwind before the weekend or Friday’s big test. Our games are a variety of hands on Wii video games that range from adventure to humorous. This will take place in the meeting room so there will plenty of space to move about and have a good time.
If you or your child would like to bring a game, please speak with Katrina Griffiths our Teen Services Librarian. Please bring friends along, the more the merrier! Snacks and Wii games will be provided, just bring savvy game playing skills. More information.
Research Skills 101
Research Skills 101 workshops, a new program starting February 12th, which empowers young adults to investigate reliable sources and detect false information. In the age of accessibility, one must be equipped on how to process legitimate facts, verses well stated opinions. Our interactive lessons will include how to spot bias, forming a research question, what is a database, advance Google search, and so much more. These skills will save them time and hardship with any major assignment. We invite children ages 12+ to come in. Chromebooks and snacks will be provided. More information.
