Interlibrary Loans
- Interlibrary Loans allow libraries from across the country to share items with each other.

- Items requested are preferably more than one year old.
- For a $2.00 non-refundable fee you may request an Interlibrary Loan Item.
- The $2.00 fee will be charged to your account when library staff processes the request.
- Please note: Borrowers must have Mendocino general (mg) cards in good standing “owing $20.00 or less.”
Zip Book Request
- The Zip Book grant funding is available and is provided by the California State Library.
- Zip Book requests for eBooks & eAudiobooks.
- Submit title requests via an online form: English form or Spanish form.
- Once a requested title is added to the statewide collection, you will receive an email notification and can check it out from the Palace Project app. Please direct any inquiries about Zip Books Palace Project for eBooks and eAudiobooks to zipbooks@califa.org.
- Zip Book requests for physical regular print and large type books, audiobooks (CDs or mp3 CDs)
- Only available to Mendocino County residents and general library cardholders owing $20 or less.
- Limited to one request per person at a time.
- The item must be unavailable through the Mendocino County Library catalog.
- All Zip Book requests are to be evaluated before they are approved. Materials considered unlikely to circulate or that are poorly written or reviewed, may be denied, or may be better candidates for traditional interlibrary loans.
